5) Rating & Division Rules (Please read carefully)

5.1 Rating basis

  • Rating basis: Official Rating (subject to system/organizer verification).
  • Players may voluntarily declare a higher division (“move up”).
  • Example: If your Official Rating is 13.53, you may voluntarily declare and compete as 14.

5.2 Why is voluntary move-up allowed

  • Purpose: Allows players to self-assess and move up divisions proactively, reducing disputes caused by large skill gaps.

5.3 Important reminder (to avoid violations)

  • Under-declaring is not allowed. If information is false or deemed inconsistent, it may be treated as a rating violation / playing out of division (see Section 6).

6) Eligibility & Restrictions (Division limits)

  • National team members: Not allowed to enter Open Singles.
  • Day 2 Open Singles: Limited to 14.00 (including decimals) and below (e.g., 14.00 eligible; 14.01 not eligible; subject to organizer verification).
